Let’s talk about the real reason we all love mornings (aside from coffee) – it’s those doughy, delicious bagels, right? I’ve been on a mission to find the best bagels in Tampa, and let’s just say, it did not disappoint. So grab your coffee, and let’s get into the cream (cheese) of the crop!
Whether you’re a fan of piled-high bagel sandwiches or prefer your bagels slathered in creamy goodness, Tampa’s bagel scene has something in store for you.
Best bagels in Tampa
Pete’s
Pete’s Bagels in Ybor City is more than your average bagel joint. It’s a spot that has style and substance with bagels that are as tasty as they are Instagrammable.
With its inviting coffee shop ambiance (it’s one of the best coffee shops in Ybor!), sunny patio vibes, and even a charming dog park area, it’s the ultimate spot for a Tampa bagel outing. My go-to is the “Millennial Pete,” packed with creamy avocado and zesty pickled red onions, delivering a flavor explosion in every bite.
Plus, Pete’s isn’t just about bagels; they’ve got a fantastic selection of baked goods and a cozy atmosphere perfect for a hangout session!
Willa’s Provisions
Willa’s Provisions is another awesome Tampa coffee spot that doubles as a bagel lover’s dream! Every time I step into this cozy gem, I’m immediately drawn to their irresistible bagels and homemade scallion and chive cream cheese.
The ambiance at Willa’s is just as delightful as their menu, making it a must-visit. If you’re craving something extra special, their bagel boards are a game-changer. Whether you opt for the veggie, salmon, or chicken salad bagel board, you’re in for a unique and delicious bagel experience.
Sesame
Sesame, nestled in Hyde Park, is a unique gem in Tampa’s bagel scene! While it may not be my top pick for bagels in the city, Sesame Bagels offers something truly special: the iconic rainbow bagel!
But here’s the real secret sauce—Sesame transforms into a Tampa speakeasy by night! Make a reservation, and you’ll be initiated into this exclusive bar with a secret bagel order. It’s an experience that adds a touch of mystery and excitement to your bagel adventure!
The Lab
The Lab Coffee offers an ultra-modern vibe with its sleek and industrial interior, making it a fantastic spot to chill with your laptop in Tampa. But let’s talk bagels because that’s what we’re here for!
Their breakfast bagel sandwich, complete with a side of Sriracha mayo, is perfection! With a diverse menu, great coffee, and cool atmosphere, The Lab should be on everyone’s list who is on the hunt for the best bagel in Tampa.
They now have 2 locations including one near downtown Tampa and the other in Seminole Heights. Check out the best coffee shops in Seminole Heights while you’re in the area!
Moxie’s Cafe
Moxie’s Cafe is a top pick for bagel lovers in Tampa, and for good reason! Not only do they serve up delicious bagel sandwiches, but they also boast one of the best cold brews in town! My go-to order is the classic Breakfast Melt: fluffy scrambled egg and gooey American cheese on a NY style bagel. But I’ve got my eye on the Asiago Garden Bagel for my next visit – can’t wait to try it out!
Graze 1910
Comfort food lovers, say hello to Graze 1910. This spot is a breakfast paradise that deserves a spot on every bagel enthusiast’s list!
The B-Y-O-Brunchwich stole my heart with its flavorful goodness – 2 eggs, melty cheese, and your choice of protein on a delicious everything bagel. This is truly one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in Tampa! And let’s not forget the star sidekick – those tator tots were absolute perfection!
If you’re looking for a lighter bagel order you can check out their everything bagel with dill schmear or the salmon and bagel with smoked salmon, dill schmear, scallion, and pickled onion.
Psomi
Psomi brings a dash of Greek flair to the Tampa bagel scene, and I’m here for it! Their golden-brown bagels come with a side of Mediterranean charm. Whether you’re keeping it simple or loading up with their artisanal toppings, the flavors are off the charts. It’s a little bit of Greece right here in Florida.
With options like everything, cinnamon raisin, plain, and sesame bagels paired with your choice of whipped cream cheese or Le Meunier butter, and the option to add their delicious house-made jam, Psomi offers a lovely fusion of flavors and textures that bring something unique to the table when it comes to bagels in Tampa!
Victory Coffee
Victory Coffee is your victory lap after a successful bagel tour through Tampa. The coffee is stellar, yes, but it’s their bagels that truly shine.
Their bagel sandwiches are crafted with care in their scratch kitchen. While their menu may feature standard options, like any good bagel joint, Victory Coffee nails the classics with their made-to-order approach. You can count on quality and taste in every bite!
Marlene’s Original Breakfast Sandiwich
Despite the fact I did not get my breakfast sandwich on a bagel here (they were out for the day), I can’t talk about amazing breakfast sandwiches in Tampa without giving Marlene’s Original Breakfast Sandwich a shoutout. They’ve perfected the art of breakfast sandwiches. With a range of proteins, veggies, and sauces to stuff between those bagel halves, you’ve got breakfast goals right here. Plus, ‘original’ really means it — their creations are uniquely awesome.
We got the #1 “Marlene’s Way” and #4 “Fully Loaded”. They were both bursting with flavor, but I think #4 may have won me over with the maple drizzle addition that just gave such a nice blend of flavors with the salty and sweet. There are plenty of breakfast sandwiches to choose from though, and I’m sure they are all winners!
