Hyde Park is one of the best spots in Tampa to eat, shop, and stroll—but let’s talk about the real star of the show: the desserts in Hyde Park. From cupcake ATMs to creamy ice cream and everything in between, this neighborhood has plenty of sweet treats to satisfy any craving. Let’s dive into the best dessert spots you won’t want to miss!
Best Desserts in Hyde Park
1. Ice Cream at OddFellows Ice Cream Co.
OddFellows Ice Cream Co. isn’t your average scoop shop—it’s an ice cream lover’s dream with over 500 wacky and wild flavors, including plenty of vegan and non-dairy options. The vibe is just as fun as the flavors, making it a must for desserts in Hyde Park (and honestly, one of the best ice cream shops in Tampa!).
They’ve got everything from classics like vanilla bean and chocolate to crazy combos like passionfruit apricot pistachio, miso peanut butter brownie, and smoky vanilla bourbon twist. No matter what you’re craving, you’re in for a seriously tasty surprise.
2. Popsicles at The Hyppo
The Hyppo takes popsicles to another level with all-natural, gourmet ice pops packed with fresh, seasonal ingredients. They’ve whipped up over 450 flavors, so there’s always something new to try!
Each pop is flash-frozen to lock in the goodness, whether it’s the juiciness of peak-season Florida strawberries, the refreshing taste of summer watermelon, or even a pumpkin pie pop for those fall vibes. Whatever the season, The Hyppo always delivers the perfect icy treat!
3. Cupcakes at Sprinkles
Sprinkles cupcakes are always a fun little indulgence. They’re perfectly fluffy, packed with flavor, and honestly just too cute to resist. Whether you’re all about the classics like vanilla and chocolate or love a little adventure with flavors like red velvet and salted caramel, there’s a cupcake with your name on it.
But let’s be real—the cupcake ATM is half the fun! There’s just something about grabbing a late-night cupcake from a machine that makes it taste even better. And yes, I’ve 100% justified getting a second dessert just because of it.
4. Donuts at The Salty Donut
The Salty Donut is one of the newest dessert spots in Hyde Park, and trust me—it lives up to the hype. Their menu is always changing, but one thing stays the same: their donuts are next-level. My absolute favorite? Guava and cheese. Hands down one of the best donuts I’ve ever had!
And if you need something to wash it down, their maple and brown sugar cold brew is so good. A donut-and-coffee combo that’s totally worth the sugar rush!
5. Tableside Bombaloni at Timpano
If you’re craving something rich, indulgent, and just a little extra, the Bomboloni at Timpano is the move. These warm, pillowy Italian doughnuts are filled with cannoli cream and come with warm chocolate and caramel sauces for dipping. Oh, and just when you think it can’t get any better—pistachio cream on top. Absolute perfection.
And because Timpano doesn’t do anything halfway, they finish it off tableside with a touch of lemon verbena smoke for a little added drama. Dessert and a show? Yes, please.
Also, if you haven’t had dinner here yet, you need to. It’s hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in Tampa!
6. Cookies and Milk at Meat Market
Some desserts just hit the nostalgia button, and Meat Market’s Cookies and Milk takes that classic combo to a whole new level. Warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies stuffed with rich Nutella, paired with ice-cold malted milk—it’s basically childhood, but elevated.
The cookies come out fresh from the oven, perfectly crisp on the outside and melty on the inside. Dipping them into the chilled milk? Pure bliss. If you’re a cookie lover, you need to add this to your Hyde Park dessert lineup!
Which of these desserts in Hyde Park are you tasting first?!
Whether you’re strolling along Bayshore Boulevard, exploring the charming Hyde Park Village, or dining at one of the area’s fantastic restaurants, you’re bound to encounter some of the amazing desserts in Hyde Park. It’s clear that eating your way through this charming Tampa neighborhood is one of the best things to do in Hyde Park!
