Over the past few years, this area has completely transformed into a hotspot for foodies, craft beer lovers, and anyone who loves a good mix of old-school charm and new energy. If you’re looking for the best things to do in Seminole Heights, you’re in for an adventure!
Things to Do in Seminole Heights Tampa
1. ZooTampa at Lowry Park
If you’re in the mood for a wild adventure, ZooTampa at Lowry Park is the perfect place to spend the day. You’ll come face-to-face with everything from majestic big cats to playful primates and even have the chance to enjoy interactive exhibits, rides, and up-close animal encounters. This isn’t just a zoo—it’s an experience.
ZooTampa is all about education and conservation, so every visit helps support wildlife protection efforts. If you want to hit Tampa’s top animal attractions, the ZooQuarium ticket bundles this with The Florida Aquarium for the ultimate animal-filled day.
2. Explore the Craft Beer Scene
If you love a good local brew, you’re in the right place. The craft beer scene in Seminole Heights is thriving, and brewery hopping is one of the best ways to explore the area! Whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, tart sours, or smooth stouts, there’s a spot for you.
Some of my favorite Seminole Heights breweries include Angry Chair Brewing and Common Dialect Beerworks. No adventure is complete without a little caffeine, and Seminole Heights’ coffee shops have just the thing. If you love your coffee with a side of charm, this neighborhood does it right.
For a laid-back outdoor vibe, grab a Heights cold brew from Spaddy’s Coffee. If you’re looking for a spot that’s as Instagrammable as it is delicious, head to Blooming Floral Cafe for coffee creations that are as pretty as they taste.
6. Seminole Heights Sunday Market
If you love Tampa markets, the Seminole Heights Sunday Market is a must. This lively outdoor market is packed with vendors selling farm-fresh produce, handmade crafts, and artisanal foods, making it the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. The energy here is contagious, and it’s a great spot to shop small while soaking up the community vibes of Seminole Heights.
One of my favorite discoveries? Botany Cats! This adorable cat lounge on wheels is a little oasis for feline lovers. For just $5, you can step inside a cozy camper turned purr-fect playground, where cuddly cats await their forever homes. Whether you’re looking to adopt or just want to snuggle some sweet kitties, this is such a fun and unique stop.
7. Dive into Mystical Wonders at Royal Suzie
If you’re drawn to all things mystical, Royal Suzie is a must-visit! The space is filled with beautiful crystals, tarot decks, and spiritual accessories, making it a dream for anyone who loves tapping into their inner magic.
Need a little guidance? The knowledgeable staff are happy to help, whether you’re looking for a crystal to bring positive energy, a tarot reading, or just browsing for something special. The energy here is incredible, and it’s easy to lose track of time while exploring all the unique finds.
8. Stretch Out at Yoga
If you’re looking for a way to unwind and recharge, head to Lucky Cat Yoga. This welcoming studio is one of the best yoga studios in Tampa, and it’s right here in Seminole Heights! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, they make everyone feel right at home.
The instructors are passionate, the atmosphere is inviting, and the classes are the perfect way to relax, reset, and reconnect with yourself!
9. Check Out Some of the Local Bars
After a day of exploring, grabbing a drink at one of Seminole Heights’ bars is the perfect way to wind down. This neighborhood is home to everything from craft cocktail spots to arcade bars, so there’s a place for every mood.
If you’re into Instagram-worthy cocktails, Mandarin Heights is a must—it has fun photo ops and an even better drink menu. Velvet Gypsy is another solid choice, always buzzing with live music, events, and a great crowd.
For a laid-back, nostalgic vibe, Lowry Parcade is the move. This arcade-meets-bar has classic pinball machines, retro video games, and an impressive craft beer selection, making it a fun spot to grab a drink and challenge your friends to a few rounds of Pac-Man!
10. Visit a Distillery
Since we’re already talking drinks, you have to check out one of the best distilleries in Tampa—82 West Distilling. I wasn’t sure what to expect before visiting, but I was blown away by the experience.
This is Seminole Heights’ first craft distillery, and you can feel the passion behind every pour. They’re serious about crafting top-notch spirits, with a lineup that includes rum, gin, bourbon, and even a unique Blue Agave spirit. Whether you’re a cocktail lover or a straight-sipper, there’s something here for you.
Their craft cocktails are absolute perfection!
Some Other Fun Things to Do in Seminole Heights:
- Go skating at United Skates of America— one of the best skating rinks in Tampa!
- Hit the lanes and go bowling at one of Tampa’s top bowling alleys, Pin Chasers.
- Visit one of the cutest bookstores in Tampa, The Far Forest, It’s near Royal Suzie and The Lab Coffee. They have other interesting items even outside of books, but be aware of their hours. I have gone when they were supposed to be open to find them closed.
- Grab ice cream from some of the best ice cream shops in Tampa! Bo’s and SeaMaid’s Creamery are both conveniently located in Seminole Heights.
- Karaoke your heart out at Gangchu Chicken & Beer. They have a karaoke room you can rent with your crew! Plus great food and drinks.
- Check out some of the fun seasonal events! like the Seminole Heights Pumpkin Patch!
