I also enjoy Cruisin Tikis and Totally Tiki Tours! Both of these are fun tiki boat tours that can take you through various areas in Tampa Bay. You bring your own booze (and snacks if you want) and they provide cups, ice, and a fun way to explore the area.
Totally Tiki Tours is better if you have a bigger group. Plus, they have the added convenience of a bathroom on board! This boat tour is great for a Tampa birthday party.
Have a beach (or pool) day
Tampa beaches are a little different than the beaches of Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach, but they are still beautiful and can be a great spot to catch some rays!
Ben T. Davis is one of the more popular beaches in Tampa. It stretches along the Courtney Campbell Causeway and has beach volleyball and some nice sandy areas. There is a decent amount of paid parking here as well.
I really enjoy relaxing on the beach area at Whiskey Joe’s (one of my favorite waterfront dining spots in Tampa), and then heading over to WTR especially if there is a have a DJ. WTR is just a 7-minute walk from Whiskey Joe’s.
Keep in mind if they are having a DJ or performer you will have to purchase tickets. The environment here is typically very fun and energetic!

If you’re staying in the downtown area, a hotel will most likely be your best bet. There aren’t too many Airbnb’s in the downtown area, and they often end up being more expensive than a hotel with all of the additional fees.

If you don’t mind splurging The Tampa Edition is the newest hottest spot on the block! It provides an extraordinary, luxurious hotel experience that is unlike anything else Tampa Bay has seen. If you’re planning to explore beyond the city, renting a car can provide you the freedom to go on day trips and discover hidden gems.
However, if your agenda involves indulging in Tampa’s vibrant nightlife or hopping between beach bars, relying on rideshare services like Uber and Lyft might be the more convenient and sensible choice. These options ensure a stress-free journey without the need to navigate parking or abstain from enjoying some tropical cocktails 😉

If you’re wanting to visit St. Pete, you can consider the Cross Bay Ferry. This convenient water transit connects downtown Tampa to downtown St. Pete, offering a scenic and enjoyable way to explore both cities without the hassle of traffic!
